Title : Dog Man author: Dav Pilkey
This month I read a book called Dog Man by Dav Pilkey. Dog Man is a book about a cop who’s head got chopped off so they replaced it with a dogs head. Later on he had a great reputation of being a police man and he became “dog man” and he was one of the best cops ever. He was stopping all type of people like robbers, thieves, and escape prisoners. You would probably think he’s just a normal cop, but no. He can stop anybody or anything even an immortal being. But one day. That all changes.
what I loved about the book was the the plot and the humor in the story. A part of the plot I loved was when dog man fought a villain is space and he was about to control how he floats so it gave him the advantage in fighting. A funny part of the story I liked was when dog man accidentally mistaken a fur ball for Petey.
my favorite character is petey. I liked petey because he use to be a villain but reverted his evil ways and decided to help dog man. “You know what dog man. I never wanted to be the villain. I just wanted someone to care for or someone to care for me. And ever since my wife died I was nerves the same again. So If I can have someone special then no way can.”
A quote I loved from the book was, “everyone is special in their own way. Some can be tall, some sort, some big, some small, some smart, others not at much, but that what makes everyone different from each other and no one needs to change to fit in but if the change is for your self, then it’s the right choice.” This quote is meaningful to be because its true. Everyone is unique in their own way even if it may be weird. That what makes others interesting, to bid something someone can’t.
